How we choose
Six things every product has to clear
We are a small shop, not a marketplace. Nothing arrives here through a supplier feed, and nothing goes up until it has cleared all six of these.

Chosen, not listed
Every product is picked and handled before it goes on the site. If we would not use it ourselves, it does not make it, however well it would sell.

Built past the first season
We look at the boring parts: stitching, coatings, hinges, closures, and whether a worn part can be replaced instead of binned.

Described honestly
We tell you what a product does not do. That costs us a few sales and saves us most of the returns, which is a trade we will take.

No health claims
Our wellness items are consumer products. None of them diagnose, treat, cure or prevent anything, and we say so on the page rather than in the footer.

Nothing renews
One charge, for the thing you bought. No subscription, no card kept on file, nothing you have to remember to cancel later.

What we check
The parts that decide whether it lasts
Most things fail in the same few places. These are what we look at before a product goes up, and what we ask the maker about when we cannot tell by handling it.
Seams and stitchingWhere bags, socks and soft goods give way first. Double rows at the stress points, not just along the visible edge.
Coatings and finishesNonstick, powder coat, plating. How many layers, and what happens after a year of normal use rather than a lab cycle.
Hinges, zips and closuresAlmost always the first moving part to fail, and almost never the part shown in the product photography.
Replaceable partsFilters, batteries, straps, bands. If a consumable is sealed in, the whole product has the lifespan of that consumable.
Skin and food contactWhat the material actually is where it touches you or your food, and whether the maker will put that in writing.
What the box protectsPackaging is not decoration. Fragile items that arrive broken are a packaging problem before they are a carrier problem.
Where a specification is blank, it is blank on purpose. We publish the figures the maker will confirm. If a dimension, weight or material has not been verified to us in writing, we leave the row out rather than estimate it and hope. It is why some specification tables on this site are shorter than others.

Why this shop exists
We got tired of things that photograph better than they work
Most of what gets sold as a gift is designed for the listing photo. It looks right on a screen, arrives lighter than you expected, and is in a drawer by spring. Everyone has bought one. Plenty of us have given one.
So the rule here is dull and it is the whole business: we would rather sell you one thing you keep than four things you tolerate. The catalogue is small because keeping it good is the hard part — adding another fifty products would take an afternoon.
That also means telling you when not to buy. Our membership page says outright that it is not worth it if you only order once a year. Product pages list what an item does not do. If that loses us a sale to someone who was going to return it anyway, we are ahead.
If something turns up wrong, email us. A person reads it, and you will hear back inside a business day.

How long will delivery take?
Orders leave us within 1 to 2 business days. Standard US delivery is then 5 to 8 business days and is free over $75. Expedited is $12.95 and Express is $24.95. Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico are Standard only and take 7 to 12 business days.
What is your returns policy?
Thirty days from delivery, on unused items in their original packaging. Email us first for a return authorisation. We cover return shipping whenever the fault is ours — damaged, defective or simply not what you ordered.
Will you charge my card again later?
No. There is no subscription anywhere on this store and no card is kept on file for future charges. Keepers, our membership, is a single payment that ends after twelve months on its own.
Are your wellness products medical devices?
No. They are consumer products and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or condition. If you have a health concern, speak to a qualified healthcare professional.

Something arrived damaged. What now?
Photograph the item and the outer box and email us within seven days of delivery. We replace it or refund you in full including shipping, and in most cases we will not ask you to send the damaged one back.
Thirty days to change your mind
Unused and in its original packaging, within thirty days, for a refund. If it arrives damaged or is not what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and usually do not ask for it back at all.
