What makes it good

67 layers, one hard core

The Damascus cladding is what you see; the VG-10 core underneath is what holds the edge. Sharpened to 15 degrees a side.

Weight in the hand, not the tip

Full tang and a balanced bolster, so the knife sits back toward your grip instead of nodding forward through a long prep.

A handle that stays put wet

Rose pakkawood is resin-stabilised, so it doesn't swell, and it's triple-riveted rather than glued.

Arrives ready to give

Linen-wrapped box, magnetic sheath and a care card, so it needs no wrapping.

The detail

Age-restricted product: sold only to customers aged 18 or over. UK orders require age verification at checkout and must be handed to an adult on delivery.

A chef's knife that earns its place on the counter. The Petal & Pine blade is forged from 67 layers of high-carbon Damascus steel, hand-finished to a mirror edge and set into a rose-toned pakkawood handle that stays comfortable through a whole afternoon of prep.

Why you'll reach for it

  • 67-layer Damascus steel with a hardened VG-10 core, sharpened to a 15-degree edge
  • 8-inch blade — the do-everything size for vegetables, herbs, poultry and bread
  • Full-tang construction and a balanced bolster, so the weight sits in your hand rather than the tip
  • Rose pakkawood handle, moisture-resistant and triple-riveted
  • Gift-ready box with a protective sheath included

In the box

One 8" chef's knife, magnetic blade sheath, care card, and a linen-wrapped presentation box.

Care

Hand wash and dry immediately. Not dishwasher safe. Hone before use; sharpen every 6–12 months depending on how often you cook.

Questions about this product

Can it go in the dishwasher?
No. Detergent and heat will pit the cladding and dry out the handle. Hand wash, dry straight away, and it will outlast you.
How often does it need sharpening?
Hone before most sessions, sharpen properly every six to twelve months depending on how much you cook. Honing is not sharpening — it straightens the edge you already have.
Is 8 inches right for me?
It's the do-everything size and the one to buy first. Go to 6 inches if you have small hands or a small board; a 10-inch is for people breaking down large cuts regularly.
Left-handed?
Fine. The edge is symmetrical, not a single-bevel Japanese grind, so it cuts the same either way.

Thirty days to change your mind

Unused and in its original packaging, within thirty days, for a refund. If it arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and usually don't ask for it back at all.
