What makes it good
Nine strengths
+1.00 to +3.00 in 0.25 steps, so you can land on the one that's right rather than the one that's close.
Light enough to forget
21 grams, spring hinges and silicone nose pads that don't slide down.
Hand-polished acetate
Not injection-moulded plastic. It's the difference you feel at the temples.
Case and cloth included
Because the scratch happens in your bag, not on your face.
The detail
Reading glasses that don't look like reading glasses. A slim acetate frame in three colourways, with a blue-light filtering coating on the lens for long stretches at a screen.

Choosing a strength
If you already wear readers, order the strength you have. If you're new to them, most people starting in their forties do well at +1.25 to +1.75. These are over-the-counter magnifying readers, not prescription lenses — for astigmatism, differing prescriptions between eyes, or any change in your vision, see an optometrist.
How it compares
| ClearView Blue-Light Readers | The usual | |
|---|---|---|
| What they are | Magnifying readers, and we say so plainly — not prescription lenses | Vague wording that lets you assume otherwise |
| Health claims | None. They magnify and they filter some blue light. That is all | Claims about eye strain, sleep and headaches |
| Returns window | 30 days, and we pay return shipping when the fault is ours | Often 14 days, with the buyer paying postage either way |
| Getting help | A person replies within one business day | A chatbot, then a queue |
| Picking a strength | We tell you to order the strength you already use | A quiz that always recommends a purchase |
