What makes it good

Nine strengths

+1.00 to +3.00 in 0.25 steps, so you can land on the one that's right rather than the one that's close.

Light enough to forget

21 grams, spring hinges and silicone nose pads that don't slide down.

Hand-polished acetate

Not injection-moulded plastic. It's the difference you feel at the temples.

Case and cloth included

Because the scratch happens in your bag, not on your face.

The detail

Reading glasses that don't look like reading glasses. A slim acetate frame in three colourways, with a blue-light filtering coating on the lens for long stretches at a screen.

Choosing a strength

If you already wear readers, order the strength you have. If you're new to them, most people starting in their forties do well at +1.25 to +1.75. These are over-the-counter magnifying readers, not prescription lenses — for astigmatism, differing prescriptions between eyes, or any change in your vision, see an optometrist.

Questions about this product

Are these prescription glasses?
No. They're over-the-counter magnifying readers with the same strength in both lenses. They can't correct astigmatism or a difference between your eyes.
Which strength do I need?
Order what you already wear. New to readers and in your forties, most people land between +1.25 and +1.75. If in doubt, order lower — too strong causes headaches.
Does the blue-light coating actually do anything?
It filters part of the blue wavelength and cuts glare, and plenty of people find long screen days more comfortable. The evidence that blue light damages eyes is weak; the evidence that glare and not blinking makes them ache is not.
My vision has changed recently.
See an optometrist before buying readers. A sudden change is worth having looked at properly.

Thirty days to change your mind

Unused and in its original packaging, within thirty days, for a refund. If it arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and usually don't ask for it back at all.
