What makes it good

Pressure-activated

The gel reacts to contact and weight. Nothing to fill, freeze or charge.

Recharges itself

Fifteen to twenty minutes with the weight off and it's ready again.

Two sizes

Medium for a chair, crate or car seat; Large for a bed or a big dog.

Wipe-clean and puncture-resistant

Nylon surface, non-toxic gel, folds flat for storage.

The detail

A pressure-activated gel mat that stays cooler than the room around it — no water, no freezer, no power. Lie on it, sit on it, or give it to the dog, who will take it either way.

Details

Self-cooling gel core that recharges on its own after 15–20 minutes off it
Two sizes — Medium (20" × 26") and Large (26" × 36")
No electricity, water or refrigeration needed
Wipe-clean nylon surface, puncture-resistant and non-toxic
Folds flat for storage or travel

Using it

Lay it flat on a bed, chair, crate or car seat. It works on body contact, so it feels coolest in the first 15 minutes and recovers once weight is off it. Wipe with a damp cloth; don't machine wash or put it in the freezer.

Questions about this product

How cold does it get?

Cool to the touch, not cold. It sits a few degrees below the room, which is what makes it comfortable to lie on rather than a shock.

Why has it stopped feeling cool?

It works on contact and is coolest in the first fifteen minutes or so. Take the weight off for twenty minutes and it comes back.

Can I put it in the freezer or the fridge?

No. Freezing can rupture the gel cells and voids the guarantee. It isn't designed to be pre-chilled.

Is it safe if my dog chews it?

The gel is non-toxic and the cover is puncture-resistant, but no mat survives a determined chewer. If yours destroys bedding, this isn't the product for them.

Thirty days to change your mind

Unused and in its original packaging, within thirty days, for a refund. If it arrives damaged or isn't what you ordered, we cover the return shipping and usually don't ask for it back at all.
