Before you buy. CleanSlate is an alkaline degreaser. It is not for aluminium, anodised finishes or bare polished metals, and it will strip the seasoning from cast iron — which you then re-season. Wear gloves, ventilate, keep it away from children and pets, never mix it with bleach or another cleaner, and rinse food-contact surfaces before cooking.
